I decided to write a blog entry just about uploading images into the Joomla! environment and getting them to display in a blog or article.

This started out as a simple blog entry about uploading images etc. but It looks like this may turn it into a Tutorial...  So you see... Blog entries can be the muse for something greater...

Here is an example of an image that can be uploaded and inserted into any article by any registered member who has permission to edit on the site...

So how did I do this?  In the Joomla! environment there are several ways to both upload images and several ways to display them in your articles, blogs, photo albums/galleries, Section Headers, Category Headers, and just about anywhere content can be placed using the web editor or other component.

First lets talk about uploading...  Joomla! right out of the box comes with a component called the Media Manager which is a simple bare bones media upload manager and in that respect it is great for what it does.  There are many 3rd Party upload/media managers or file manager components that you can install on your Joomla! site as well...
